Welcome to DeadJournal Blend Challenge! Every week we have a different challenge, alternating between original blends and add effects blends.

Don’t know what a blend is? A blend is a graphic that combines two or more images with effects.



Community Rules
1. Treat everyone with respect. That’s a given.
2. If you don’t win something please don’t get angry, this is all in good fun.
3. No. Drama.
4. No community whoring unless you are an active member. Active members are members who participate in challenges, not just lurking.



Challenge Rules
1. Regular challenges are usually open picture choices. Only submit blends that are of the subject of that given challenge.
2. You must use at least 2 different pictures.
3. Blends must be in JPG, GIF, or PNG format. No BMPs please.
4. Only one entry is allowed per challenge. If you’ve made more than one and can’t decide which one, you may put both up and ask the members to tell you which they like best. Your final choice must be the only one up at the end of the challenge.
5. Blends should be between 200x200 pixels and 800x600 pixels.
6. Do not take down your blend until voting is over. If you take it down before it will be disqualified.
7. If there are 4 or less entries at the end of a challenge, both challenges currently running will be pushed back one week for more submissions.



Submitting a Blend
All blends need to be hosted by the maker. I suggest using Photobucket. Please submit all entries in a new post under a cut in the following format:

Add Effects Challenges
You MAY NOT blend two blends together and make a new blend. That’s the only real rule. Other than that you can do whatever, not limited to resizing, cropping, colorizing, etc. Just as long as it looks something like the original blend it’s allowed.



Voting
For each challenge everyone votes on a People's Choice Award to add to the normal awards.

Voting Rules
1. Only vote for your ONE favorite. More than one will be disqualified.
2. Don't vote for yourself.
3. Don't vote for your friends just because they're your friends.
4. Only active members can vote, meaning members who participate in challenges.
